Welcome to the 3D Patagonian Glaciers Viewer. Ver. 0.9.6

This application enables dynamic 3D visualization of over 80 glaciers within the Northern and Southern Patagonian Ice Fields. It features comprehensive data on Glacier Extent, Land Surface Temperature, and Air Temperature for each glacier during the summer seasons from 2018 to 2023. The information presented is derived from processing Landsat 8 and 9, Sentinel-2, and ERA5-Land imagery through Google Earth Engine (GEE).

How to use the App

How does the Swipe works?

After activating the Swipe feature, the map layout will be split into two distinct sections. Each section of the map layout will operate independently, allowing for separate layer displays. You can control in which side of the split view to display a particular layer by checking or unchecking it in the following panels:

Then, you can move the swipe divisor to compare the layers enabled in each panel.

By design each layer can be displayed in one, both or none of the swipe sides. Considering this, you have to manually check or unchecked the visibility for the layers of interest.
